“a Lamp to my feet. a Light for my path.” – Matthew 11:25-26

.

TODAY’S WORD…

.

Jesus exclaimed,

“I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth,

for hiding these things from the learned and the clever

and revealing them to mere children.

Yes, Father, for that is what it pleased You to do.”

.

– Matthew 11:25-26

.

REFLECTION…

.

The wise and understanding of this world,

that is, those who rely exclusively on their own judgment,

cannot accept the revelation which Christ has brought us.

.

One’s supernatural outlook is always connected with one’s humility.

A humble person, who gives himself little importance, sees.

A person who is full of inordinate self-esteem

fails to perceive supernatural things.

.

QUOTES…

.

“O Lord,

I do not seek to understand in order that I may believe,

but I believe in order to understand.

For this too I believe,

that unless I believe, I shall not understand.”

.

– St. Anselm of Canterbury

.

.

“Let us try, therefore, never to lose our supernatural outlook. […]

.

Your first instinct always should be to talk to your Father God,

whom we should seek in the depths of our souls.

And we cannot consider this a trivial or unimportant matter.

On the contrary, it is a clear sign of a deep interior life,

of a true dialogue of love.

.

[…] Constant prayer should be for a Christian

as natural as the beating of his heart.”

.

– St. Josemaria Escriva

.

.

.

PRAYER…

.

Loving Father, remove my pride and self-esteem,

and make me humble, make me like a child.

I want to be Your child.
