O most gracious God,

to trust in You above all things

How foolish I am

whenever I put You aside

to I seek immediate comfort

from worldly diversions.

Dear Lord,

help me stop expecting my consolation

to come immediately.

Help me stop seeking earthly solace here and now

in the things of this world.

Lord,

You are the Only Way,

the Real Truth,

and the Eternal Life.

Enrich me, Lord,

with Your grace!
