TODAY’S WORD…
.
Jesus said,
“As the Father has loved Me,
so have I loved you.
Now remain in My love.
.
If you keep My commands,
you will remain in My love,
just as I have kept My Father’s commands
and remain in His love.
.
I have told you this
so that My joy may be in you
and that your joy may be complete.”
.
– John 15:9-11 (JB)

REFLECTION…
.
Christ’s love for us
is a reflection of the love the Three Divine Persons have for one another
and for all mankind:
"We love, because He first loved us." (1 Jn 4:19)
.
The certainty that God loves us is the source of Christian joy,
but it is also something which calls for a fruitful response on our part.
This should take the form of a fervent desire to do God’s will in everything,
that is, to keep His commandments,
in imitation of Jesus Christ, who did the will of His Father.

PRAYER…
.
Lord Jesus,
You proved Your love for me
when You died on that cross to save me.
.
Lord, I fervently desire to do Your will,
to obey Your commandments,
and to follow Your example.
.
Grant that I may remain in Your love,
so my soul can rejoice and delight in Your Truth
.
For this I pray. Amen.
