TODAY’S WORD…
.
“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot.
I wish you were either one or the other!
.
So, because you are lukewarm – neither hot nor cold –
I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
.
But those whom I love I rebuke and discipline.
So be earnest and repent.”
.
– Revelation 3:15-16,19 (NIV)

REFLECTION…
.
What am I?
Am I cold, hot, or lukewarm in my faith?
.
Do I love God with ALL my heart,
or do I only give Him what I assume to be a fair share?
.
Do I love God with ALL my soul,
or do I sometimes let it wander off to satisfy my desires?
.
Do I love God with ALL my strength,
or do I tend to love Him mostly when I’m tired, feeling weak and in need?
.
Those who choose the middle road of faith,
do so because they think that they can compromise with God
while accommodating their own selfish comforts.
.
Those who loudly label those Christians who strive hard to do God’s will as “religious extremists”
while proudly declaring their own “open-mindedness”
often do so, to justify their spiritual easygoingness.
.
Christ strongly condemns lukewarmness,
and the question therefore beckons – am I lukewarm in my faith?
.

QUOTE…
.
"Christians cannot afford to be lukewarm in their faith
[which instead] must burn within us like a flame of love;
a flame that lights our entire being,
to become the great passion of our existence,
igniting those around us."
.
– Pope Benedict XVI

to be passionate about You; to love You with all my heart, my soul and my strength!
