TODAY’S WORD…

It is good to give thanks to the Lord,

to sing praises to your name, O Most High;

For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work;

at the works of your hands I sing for joy.

How great are your works, O Lord!

Your thoughts are very deep!

REFLECTION…

IT IS GOOD to give thanks to the Lord and to give Him praise…rather than just asking off Him!

IT IS GOOD to stop and contemplate on His wondrous works, on the immensity and beauty of His creation.

IT IS GOOD to stop looking inwardly and selfishly, and to appreciate, instead, all that He has so lovingly provided us with so as to make this earth a beautiful, self-sufficient, temporary home.

IT IS GOOD to reflect on all this, as well as to ponder on so much that has been done through the ages which goes against God’s plan, and which contributes to the destruction of His Creation. and is a result of man’s insatiable greed.

PRAYER…

How great are your works, O Lord!

It is good to give You thanks and praise!

The beauty of Your work fills me with awe

and reminds me of how great You are

and how deep Your love is for us, who You created in Your image.

My heart sings for joy

and I am conscious of giving You praise,

rather than coming into Your presence just to ask.

Lord, help me always appreciate all that You have provided

and to always cherish it and be thankful for it.

Lord, help me always count my blessings.

Amen.
