TODAY’S WORD…

We know that we have come to know Him if we keep His commands. Whoever says, ‘I know Him,’ but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys His Word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in Him: whoever claims to live in Him must live as Jesus did.

– 1 John 2:3-6

REFLECTION…

Knowing God is not a merely intellectual exercise, and the immensity of God cannot be grasped by our limited understanding. It refers to something much simpler and more important: knowing God means being united to Him by faith and love – by grace.

If we keep His Commandments and obey His Word; if we love Him with all our heart, mind and strength; and if we love one another like He loves us – God’s love is perfected in us.

Above all, our life must identify with that of Christ. We must seek with all our hearts to live and act as He did; to imitate Jesus in all things. We should follow in Jesus’ footsteps and seek walk in humility, patience, and love…as He walked.

PRAYER…

My Lord Jesus, my God, my Saviour,

I want to make You the centre of my life.

I want to walk with You by my side.

I want to listen to Your voice

and to follow Your teachings and example.

I want to live like You did.

Lord Jesus, hold my hand and guide me

– I want to love like You love.
