TODAY’S WORD…
.
Have mercy on me, Lord,
for I call to You all day long.
Bring joy to Your servant, Lord,
for I put my trust in You.
You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to You.
Hear my prayer, LORD;
listen to my cry for mercy.

REFLECTION…
.
Are you feeling down?
Is it something you did or said,
which you know you should not have?
Is it that lack of self-control
you have on your nerves,
on your habits, your vices,
your thoughts,
your tongue…?
Is it that particular weakness in your character
that keeps letting you down
…and pulling you down?
Are you angry at yourself,
especially because you feel that, once again, you have let God down;
that you have not kept your promise;
that you have succumbed to your weakness…yet again?
..
Do you feel lost for words before God
…tongue-tied…embarrassed?
If yes, then He has sent today’s reading specifically for you!
Go, therefore, to that quite place,
bow humbly before Him,
thank Him for giving you the grace of recognising your wrong-doings and omissions
…and He will pick you up
and hold you to Him
and tell you that He loves you.
PRAYER…
.
Forgive me, Lord.
Heal me, Lord.
Please hear my prayer, Lord, and have mercy on me.
.
Thank You Lord for giving me the Grace to realise my personal sin. I am weak but seek Your presence Your peace Your forgiveness. Thank You for giving me the Sacrament of Reconciliation through which I become friends with You again. Thank You Lord for the true feeling of contrition and help me keep my promise that I avoid all occasions of sin. Love You my Lord Jesus.
