“a Lamp to my feet. a Light for my path.” – Psalm 18:6,16

TODAY’S WORD…

.

But in my distress I cried out to the Lord;

yes, I prayed to my God for help.

He heard me from His sanctuary;

my cry to Him reached His ears.

.

He reached down from heaven and rescued me;

He drew me out of deep waters.

REFLECTION…

.

God not only delivers us, His faithful, out of our troubles in due time,

but He bears us up in the meantime.

.

When we call upon the Lord in our suffering,

we find Him ready to help.

In our anguish, we must not rely on our own strength, nor merely on human help,

but we need to look at God, and pray to Him, and invoke Him to help us.

.

Our earnest cries for help always reach His ears

and the Lord draws us out of those troubled waters that threaten to overwhelm us.

.

.

.

PRAYER…

.

O Lord, my God and Saviour,

during those terrible moments of deep anguish,

please send Your Holy Spirit to console me, to counsel me, and to help me see Your helping hand, accept it, and reach up and grab it.

.

Thank You, O faithful and loving God, thank You for always being there for me.
