TODAY’S WORD…
.
Don’t put your confidence in powerful people;
there is no help for you there.
When they breathe their last, they return to the earth,
and all their plans die with them.

REFLECTION…
.
We must always test everything which persons in power say
whether it is of obvious or less obvious consequence.
We need a clear conscience so as to apply careful discernment,
as we allow ourselves to be led, only, by God’s just principles.
.
If we allow ourselves to be misled by humans,
then it will be our selfish nature that convinces us.
What we will be overlooking
is that when it eventually comes to the crux,
those same humans will not be there to help us.
.
God, on the other hand, is always to be trusted; always with us.
He made us in His image
and He so loves us that He sent His Only Son to save us,
so that we may enjoy eternal life in His Glorious Presence!

QUOTE…
.
“Faith is first of all a personal adherence of man to God.
At the same time, and inseparably, it is a free assent to the whole truth that God has revealed.
As personal adherence to God and assent to His truth,
Christian faith differs from our faith in any human person.
It is right and just to entrust oneself wholly to God and to believe absolutely what He says.
It would be futile and false to place such faith in a creature.”
