“a Lamp to my feet. a Light for my path.” – Psalm 37:5

.

TODAY’S WORD…

.

Commit everything you do to the Lord.

Trust Him, and He will help you.

.

– Psalm 37:5 (NLT)

.

.

.

REFLECTION…

.

Commit everything you do to the Lord

– yes, everything!

.

Trust Him, and He will help you

– yes, He will!

.

.

.

PRAYER…

.

Your way, not mine, O Lord,

however dark it be.

Lead me by Your own hand.

Choose out the path for me.

.

Smooth let it be, or rough,

it will be still the best.

Winding or straight,

it leads right onwards to Your rest.

.

I dare not choose my lot.

How could I think I might?

Lord, guide these stumbling feet;

then I will walk aright.

.

The kingdom that I seek is Yours,

so let the way

that leads to it be Yours,

else I must surely stray.

.

Lord, take my cup,

and it with joy or sorrow fill,

as best to You may seem.

Lord, choose my good or ill.

.

Choose, Lord, for me my friends,

my sickness or my health.

Choose, Lord, my cares for me,

my poverty or wealth.

.

Not mine, not mine the choice,

in great things or in small.

Lord, be my guide, my strength,

my wisdom and my all.

.

Amen.

.

.

[The above prayer is an adaption from an early-19th Century hymn by Horatius Bonar]

.

.

.

REPETITIVE PRAYER FOR TODAY…

.

Your way, not mine, O Lord, please guide my stumbling feet.

Lord, be my guide, my strength, my wisdom and my all.

  1. Mary Muscat says:

Thanks for God’s Word and Prayer. It is so good to trust in the Lord. Psalm 62 :”Trust in Him at all times, you people, pour out your heart before Him: God is a refuge for us”.
