How sweet are Your words to my taste, O God,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!

More precious than gold,

they are a delight for my soul

and bring joy to my heart.

They are a lamp to my feet,

a light for my path,

a sustenance for my entire being!

How sweet and true are Your words, O God.
My heart, my soul, they yearn for and seek Your wisdom,

and find it in Your Word,

and I am filled with hope – hope that only You can give!

Speak to me, O God,

guide me, O Most Gracious One,

Your servant is listening.
