TODAY’S WORD…
.
Jesus said,
"The Son of Man came to seek out and to save the lost."
.
– Luke 19:10 (NRSV)
.
.
.
REFLECTION…
.
Jesus’ ardent desire is to seek out and save sinners
and His declaration fills us with hope of attaining eternal salvation.
.
He came into this lost world to seek and to save it.
He looks out especially for those who are not seeking Him
and who are not asking for Him.
.
But whenever and wherever Christ comes
He opens hearts,
and He inclines them to receive him.
Those whom He calls hear Him,
but He leaves it up to them to humble themselves
and to receive Him joyfully
and to turn to Him gladly.

QUOTE…
.
“I will seek the lost,
and I will bring back the strayed,
and I will bind up the injured,
and I will strengthen the weak,”
.
– Ezekiel 34:16

PRAYER…
.
Sweet Jesus,
You chose to become one like us,
to save us
and to take us back to the Father.
.
Lord Jesus,
You came to call us all to You,
to draw us away from our self-centeredness;
from our self-destruction.
.
From the day You were born,
You showed us the way,
You taught us the truth,
and You lived the life You wish us to follow.
.
Lord, I have heard You calling
– You never give up on me.
I have heard You encourage me
and tell me not to be afraid.
.
Jesus, without You I am lost.
I thank You for coming to me,
for seeking me out and saving me.
Thank You for being my light in the darkness.
Thank You for all that You do for me.
.
Now that I have found You, Lord,
please give me the grace to never let You go.
.
Amen.
