“a Lamp to my feet. a Light for my path.” – Colossians 2:6-7

.

TODAY’S WORD…

.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,

continue to live your lives in Him,

rooted and built up in Him,

strengthened in the faith as you were taught,

and overflowing with thankfulness.

.

– Colossians 2:6-7 (NIV)

REFLECTION…

.

The soul prospers

when we have clear knowledge of the truth as it is in Jesus,

and when we not only believe with the heart,

but are ready, when called, to confess our faith with the mouth.

.

Knowledge and faith make a soul rich

– the stronger our faith and the warmer our love,

the greater is our comfort and joy.

.

As Christians, we have all received Jesus Christ,

promised to be true to Him.

and acclaimed Him as our Lord and God.

But we cannot be built up in Christ,

or grow in Him,

unless we are first rooted in Him.

.

It is then that we thrive and grow stronger in faith,

and our heart gushes out with praise and thanks

and in gratitude for His grace and mercy.

.

.

.

PRAYER…

.

Jesus, You are Lord…my Lord…

and I want to make You the centre of my life.

.

You are all I need.

Every breath that I take comes from You.

Every moment of my life, I dedicate to You,

for You are everything to me

…and I love You, Lord.

.

Strengthen me, Lord,

strengthen my faith

and fill me with zeal for Your truth

as I embrace Your Word

and seek to live it…with thanksgiving in my heart.

.

Amen.

.

.

.

REPETITIVE PRAYER FOR TODAY…

.

Lord, You are the centre of my life!
