TODAY’S WORD…and PRAYER
.
Now the Lord is the Spirit,
and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
.
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory,
are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory,
which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

REFLECTION…
.
Christian freedom
means accepting God’s commandments
as children who strive to do what pleases our Father God.
.
As we lovingly contemplate the Lord in faith,
we reflect the splendour of Christ in our lives.
.
And, as we gladly allow the influence of grace on our souls,
the more we become identified with Christ
…and the more we radiate Him.
.
.
.
PRAYER…
.
Jesus, my Lord, my God,
Light of my heart,
thank You for Your Spirit of freedom.
.
Transform me, O Lord,
and make me more like You.
.
Give me more of You,
so much more of You,
You’re all I want and need,
hear me as I plead.
.
Please take more of me,
so much more of me,
till it’s no longer I,
but You who lives in me.
.
Lord, give me more of You!
…..

YEAR OF FAITH 2012-2013
FROM THE CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH…
.
It remains for the holy people to struggle, with grace from on high,
to obtain the good things God promises.
.
In order to possess and contemplate God,
Christ’s faithful mortify their cravings
and, with the grace of God,
prevail over the seductions of pleasure and power.
