TODAY’S WORD…

“If your right eye causes you to sin, take it out and throw it away!

It is much better for you to lose a part of your body

than to have your whole body thrown into hell.

REFLECTION…

The message is clear enough,

but are we prepared to go to the ultimate sacrifice to avoid it?

.

Are we prepared to suffer and to embrace sacrifice,

rather than break God’s commandments?

.

Do we truly prefer to choose pleasure from our illicit desires now,

over the everlasting enjoyment of the promised rooms in the Father’s house? (cf. Jn 14:2)

.

Do you think that Jesus is kidding us, when He warns us about hell?
