Don’t just listen to God’s word.

You must do what it says.

Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.

Precious Lord,

I want to obey Your word, Your will, and Your example.

I want to obey You, to honour You, to love You, and to know You.

Jesus, help me as I seek to walk closer to You;

and do not allow me to fall into the temptation of ignoring Your Law and Your teachings

and doing what suits me.

.

Lord, I detest the very thought of living without You in my heart.

Please help me to stop fooling myself,

and fill me with determination

to live as You want me to live

and to do what is right in Your eyes.
