7 May 2013 – Psalm 137(138):1-3;7-8

.

TODAY’S WORD…

.

I thank you, Lord, with all my heart:

You have heard the words of my mouth.

In the presence of the angels I will bless You.

I will adore before Your holy temple.

.

I thank You for Your faithfulness and love,

which excel all we ever knew of You.

On the day I called, You answered;

You increased the strength of my soul.

.

You stretch out Your hand and save me,

Your hand will do all things for me.

Your love, O Lord, is eternal,

discard not the work of Your hands.

.

PRAYER…

.

My Lord and my God,

You are faithful!

.

I am needy, O God;

I come to You with all my requests,

for I know You are loving and kind.

.

You made me, my God,

and I know You will not forsake me.

I know that You will, yet again,

stretch out Your Holy Hand

to save me from my troubles

and from myself.

.

Yes, Lord,

I thank You for Your faithfulness and love,

which are perfect and incomparable.

.

You hear me before I even call You, my God.

In You I find great consolation and healing,

for You lift me up,

and You increase the strength of my soul.

.

Amen.

.

REPETITIVE PRAYER FOR TODAY…

.

You stretch out Your hand and save me, O God!

.

The God of our faith has revealed Himself

as HE WHO IS;

and He has made Himself known

as “abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness” (Ex 34:6).

God’s very being is Truth and Love.
